Gemma Seltzer is a London-based writer interested in charting ordinary life in her creative work.
Her fiction paints portraits of relationships and deals with issues of identity, loss and love. She has had stories published in various online and print journals, most recently in the Spring issue of .Cent Magazine. Gemma’s work was part of an anthology entitled Rogue Symphonies (Earlyworks Press, 2007). In 2008, she completed an MA in Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths College and has just finished her first novel.
Gemma also collaborates with visual artists and was recently commissioned by The Photographers’ Gallery to write a short story in response to a series of films about Soho by Jordan Baseman. As a consequence, she was invited by ArtSway to discuss her work as part of the ‘Narrating Art’ event the Venice Biennale 2009. A transcript of the talk will be published shortly.
